Isomaps is the outdoor app designed in Switzerland for enthusiasts who actually get outside — hikers, trail runners, cyclists, ski tourers, mountaineers.
Isomaps was born in 2024 from a simple observation: no outdoor app offered professional-quality maps, reliable mountain data, and genuine respect for privacy all at once.
Stéphane Glasson, founder and developer, decided to build the tool he wished he'd had in the field. Not a startup funded by selling user data, but an independent, self-funded project designed by and for outdoor enthusiasts.
Today, nearly 2,000 accounts have been created on Isomaps, and the community keeps growing every week.
Our 21 map layers are generated from official Lidar data from European countries (IGN for France, SwissTopo for Switzerland). No dependency on American providers — except for satellite imagery. Slope maps, aspect orientation, snow cover, hillshade: everything is designed for the field.
