The natural-language search bar sends your query text to Claude (Anthropic, USA) to interpret the request and, when available, an approximate location (rounded to about 1 km, not linked to your identity) to understand things like “weather around me” without naming a place. No identifier is attached (no name, email, account, traces or fitness data); the data is not used to train the AI and is kept for at most 30 days. Voice search instead sends the audio to our self-hosted transcription server (Switzerland, never a third party like Apple or OpenAI), where it is transcribed then immediately discarded; your location is attached so it can better recognise nearby place names. Offline, transcription happens on the device.

All Isomaps APIs are authenticated: you can only access your own traces, never those of other users. The only aggregated data is the community heatmap above, fully anonymized.

A heat map (density of passages) served as pre-rendered raster tiles, with no raw GPS coordinates. A cell (~78 m) only appears if at least 3 distinct users have passed through it (k-anonymity), and the start and end of traces are clipped to protect sensitive locations. Can be turned off at any time, globally or per activity.

Your new activities are visible by default only to the friends you have added (adjustable to private or public at any time). No public profile or indexing is created automatically.

There is no public API allowing a third party to access traces or location coordinates, whether individual or aggregated. The community heatmap only exposes pre-rendered pixels, never coordinates.

If you share an activity via a link, that share is explicit, generated by you, and revocable at any time. No one else can share your traces on your behalf.

No Google analytics tools. We don't track your browsing.

No Facebook or Meta tracking pixels on our site.

No ads displayed on the website or in the apps. Your experience is never interrupted by advertisements.

No third-party cookies, no tracking scripts, no fingerprinting.
