UID: CHE-251.091.681
Contact: help@iso-maps.com
Hereinafter referred to as "IsoMaps", "we", "our" or "us".
These Terms of Service and Conditions of Use (hereinafter the "Terms") govern all relations between IsoMaps and any natural or legal person (hereinafter the "User") accessing the Service or subscribing to a plan.
By accessing the Service or creating an account, the User acknowledges having read these Terms and agrees to them without reservation. In case of disagreement with all or part of the Terms, the User is invited not to use the Service.
IsoMaps is an online mapping service offering the creation, visualization, and sharing of maps and routes. The Service is available via the website and mobile applications for iOS and Android.
To access certain features of the Service, the User must create an account. When creating an account, the User warrants that they:
The User undertakes to notify IsoMaps without delay of any unauthorized use of their account or any breach of its security.
The User may not use as a username the name of another person or entity, a trademark subject to the rights of a third party without authorization, or an offensive or obscene name.
IsoMaps reserves the right to refuse service, terminate an account, or remove content, at its sole discretion.
3.1 Technical requirements
The User must have their own equipment (smartphone, tablet, computer) and an Internet connection to use the Service. Certain features (navigation, GPS tracking, offline maps) require the activation of location services and may not function correctly in the absence of mobile network coverage or GPS signal. IsoMaps shall not be held liable for any malfunctions related to the User's technical environment.
3.2 Geolocation
The Service uses the User's device geolocation data to provide certain features (map positioning, trace recording, local weather). The User may disable geolocation at any time in their device settings, but is informed that doing so will make a significant portion of the Service's features inaccessible. Geolocation data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Certain parts of the Service are available on a paid subscription basis (hereinafter "Subscription"). The User is billed in advance on a monthly or annual cycle (hereinafter "Billing Cycle"), depending on the plan selected.
At the end of each Billing Cycle, the Subscription is automatically renewed under the same conditions, unless canceled by the User or by IsoMaps. The User may cancel the automatic renewal of their Subscription from their dashboard or by contacting customer support at help@iso-maps.com.
A valid payment method (credit card or other accepted method) is required to process the payment. The User provides IsoMaps with accurate and complete billing information and authorizes IsoMaps to charge the Subscription fees to the payment method on file.
In the event of a failed automatic payment, IsoMaps will issue an electronic invoice inviting the User to settle the payment within 15 days.
Subscriptions purchased via the App Store or Google Play Store: when the Subscription is purchased through a third-party platform (Apple App Store, Google Play Store), payment and renewal are managed by said platform according to its own terms. Cancellation must be made directly from the relevant platform's settings. Refund requests for these subscriptions must be directed to Apple or Google in accordance with their respective policies. IsoMaps does not have access to payment data processed by these platforms.
This Article 4 applies exclusively to Subscriptions entered into directly with IsoMaps. Subscriptions to a third-party community hosted on the Service ("Community Subscriptions") are governed by Article 9ter and concluded directly with the community Organizer; IsoMaps acts only as a technical facilitator.
IsoMaps offers a reduced-rate plan for Users under the age of 25 (hereinafter the "Youth Offer"). The following specific conditions apply in addition to the general subscription terms:
5.1 Eligibility requirements
The Youth Offer is reserved for natural persons aged 16 to 24 (inclusive) at the time of subscription. Users aged 16 and 17 must have obtained the consent of their legal guardian in accordance with Article 3 of these Terms. The User must provide their date of birth upon registration. This information is used exclusively to determine eligibility for the offer and to calculate the transition date to the standard rate.
5.2 Pricing
The Youth Offer is available at a rate of €1 (one euro) per month, or €12 (twelve euros) per year. This rate provides access to all Premium plan features, without restriction.
5.3 Automatic transition to standard rate
On the User's 25th birthday, the Subscription automatically switches to the Premium rate in effect on that date. The User will be notified by email at least 30 days before the transition date. The User retains the option to cancel their Subscription before this transition.
5.4 Eligibility checks
IsoMaps reserves the right to conduct random eligibility checks. To this end, IsoMaps may request that the User provide proof of identity attesting to their date of birth. The User has 15 days to respond to such a request.
5.5 False declaration
In the event of a false declaration regarding age or failure to respond to a request for proof within the allotted time, IsoMaps reserves the right to:
The User accepts these conditions by subscribing to the Youth Offer.
5.6 Non-transferability and non-cumulation
The Youth Offer is strictly personal, non-transferable, and cannot be combined with any other promotional offer or discount.
IsoMaps may, at its sole discretion, offer a Subscription with a free trial period of limited duration (hereinafter "Free Trial").
The User may be required to provide payment information to subscribe to the Free Trial. No amount will be charged before the trial period expires.
At the end of the Free Trial, unless previously canceled by the User, the corresponding Subscription will be automatically activated and the applicable fees will be charged.
IsoMaps reserves the right to modify or discontinue the Free Trial offer at any time and without notice.
The rate applicable to the Subscription is the one in effect at the time of subscription or the last renewal. This rate is guaranteed for the duration of the current Billing Cycle.
IsoMaps reserves the right to modify Subscription rates. Any rate change takes effect at the end of the current Billing Cycle and is never applied retroactively.
IsoMaps will notify the User of any rate change at least 30 days before it takes effect, by email to the address associated with the account. The User has this period to cancel their Subscription if they do not accept the new rate. In the event of cancellation under these circumstances, no additional fees will be charged.
Continued use of the Service after the new rate takes effect constitutes acceptance thereof.
The Youth Offer rate (Article 5) may be subject to changes under the same conditions. However, the automatic switch to the Premium rate provided for in Article 5.3 is made at the Premium rate in effect at the time of the switch, as communicated to the User.
In accordance with applicable European regulations for consumers residing in the European Union, the User has a period of 14 days from the date of subscribing to their Subscription to exercise their right of withdrawal, without having to provide reasons or pay penalties.
To exercise this right, the User must send their request by email to help@iso-maps.com before the expiry of the 14-day period. The refund will be made within 14 days of receipt of the request, using the same payment method as that used for the initial transaction.
The User acknowledges that if they have begun using the Service during the withdrawal period, they may owe an amount proportional to the service provided up to the notification of withdrawal.
In accordance with Article 16(a) of Directive 2011/83/EU, the User who expressly consents to the immediate performance of the Service upon subscription acknowledges losing their right of withdrawal once the Service has been fully performed.
For Paid Events (Article 9bis) and Community Subscriptions (Article 9ter), withdrawal requests must be sent directly to the Organizer concerned; IsoMaps may facilitate the contact if needed.
Outside of the right of withdrawal provided for in Article 8, refund requests are handled as follows:
Refund requests relating to an IsoMaps Subscription must be sent to help@iso-maps.com.
IsoMaps provides Users holding an administrator or organizer role within a community (hereinafter the "Organizer") with a feature allowing them to create paid outings (hereinafter "Paid Event") and to collect registration payments by bank card through our payment partner Stripe Connect.
9bis.1 IsoMaps' role — Technical facilitator
IsoMaps acts exclusively as a technical facilitator and is not a party to the sales contract concluded between the Organizer and the Buyer. Payments are collected directly into the Organizer's Stripe Connect account. IsoMaps does not intervene at any point in the financial management of the amounts collected by the Organizer.
9bis.2 Stripe Connect account activation — Identity verification (KYC)
To collect payments through IsoMaps, the Organizer must create and activate a Stripe Connect Express account. As part of this process, the Organizer will be redirected to a secure page hosted by Stripe to submit directly to Stripe the identity documents, bank details, and legal information required under anti-money-laundering regulations. IsoMaps does not collect, store, or process any of these documents.
9bis.3 IsoMaps service fees
For each successful paid registration via the Service, IsoMaps automatically collects a service fee of €0.29 + 1% of the transaction amount (hereinafter "Service Fees"). This fee is deducted by Stripe from the payment in favor of IsoMaps. Service Fees are non-refundable, including in the event of registration cancellation or refund, in line with standard ticketing-platform practice.
9bis.4 Stripe fees
Stripe's bank processing fees (from 1.5% + €0.25 for standard European cards, more for premium or international cards) are borne by the Organizer and deducted by Stripe from each transaction. In the event of a refund, Stripe does not return these processing fees; they therefore remain at the Organizer's expense.
9bis.5 Payout of funds to the Organizer
Funds collected are paid out to the Organizer's bank account according to the following schedule:
IsoMaps reserves the right to suspend or delay any payout in the event of suspected fraud, dispute, or breach of these Terms, pending resolution.
9bis.6 Cancellation and refund policy
Each Organizer defines their own cancellation policy for each of their Events, composed of three configurable tiers:
The policy applicable to each Event is displayed on the public registration page. In the event of a full cancellation of the Event by the Organizer, the Organizer commits to refunding the paid registrations in full (excluding IsoMaps Service Fees and non-recoverable Stripe fees, which remain non-refundable).
9bis.7 Registration and community membership
By paying for their registration to an Event, the Buyer automatically joins the organizing community on IsoMaps to receive practical information related to the Event. The Buyer cannot leave this community as long as a paid registration to an upcoming Event remains active; they regain this ability once the Event has passed or their registration has been canceled.
9bis.8 Organizer obligations
The Organizer undertakes to:
IsoMaps disclaims all liability regarding the proper conduct of the Event, the qualifications of the Organizer, any accidents or incidents that may occur, and the Organizer's compliance with their tax, social, and regulatory obligations.
9bis.9 Disputes and chargebacks
Any dispute relating to an Event (quality of service rendered, cancellation, non-occurrence of the Event, refund) must be handled directly between the Buyer and the Organizer. In the event of a payment dispute (chargeback) with the Buyer's bank, the Organizer bears all fees and amounts claimed; IsoMaps reserves the right to deduct these amounts from the Organizer's future registrations.
IsoMaps provides administrators or owners of a community (hereinafter the "Organizer") with a feature allowing them to create recurring paid subscriptions (monthly or annual) to which Users may subscribe to become premium members of the community (hereinafter "Community Subscription"). These subscriptions are distinct from IsoMaps Subscriptions referred to in Article 4; they are entered into with the Organizer and not with IsoMaps.
9ter.1 IsoMaps' role — Technical facilitator
As with Paid Events (Article 9bis.1), IsoMaps acts exclusively as a technical facilitator and is not a party to the contract concluded between the Organizer and the subscribing User. Payments and renewals are collected directly into the Organizer's Stripe Connect account. IsoMaps does not intervene at any point in the financial management of the amounts collected.
9ter.2 Stripe Connect account activation
The conditions for activating the Stripe Connect account and the identity verification (KYC) obligations are identical to those set out in Article 9bis.2.
9ter.3 IsoMaps service fees
For each successful payment related to a Community Subscription (initial subscription and each renewal), IsoMaps automatically collects a service fee of 1% of the transaction amount. This fee is deducted by Stripe from each payment in favor of IsoMaps; it applies for as long as the Subscription remains active. IsoMaps service fees are non-refundable, including in the event of Subscription cancellation or refund.
9ter.4 Stripe fees
Stripe's bank processing fees are borne by the Organizer and deducted by Stripe on each payment and renewal, under the same conditions as for Paid Events (Article 9bis.4).
9ter.5 Cancellation by the subscribing User
The subscribing User may, at any time, cancel the renewal of their Community Subscription from their dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period (monthly or annual): the User retains access to premium benefits until that date. No pro-rata refund is granted for the current period, unless expressly provided otherwise by the Organizer.
9ter.6 Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)
In accordance with Article 8 of these Terms, the consumer User residing in the European Union has a 14-day period from their first subscription to exercise their right of withdrawal, unless they have expressly consented to the immediate performance of the Service (access to premium benefits upon payment). In the latter case, the right of withdrawal is lost once the Service has begun to be provided. The request must be sent directly to the Organizer; IsoMaps may facilitate the contact if needed.
9ter.7 Price change by the Organizer
The Organizer may modify the price of a Community Subscription. Any price change never applies retroactively and takes effect only from the next renewal. The subscribing User is informed of any price increase at least 30 days before it takes effect and retains the option to cancel their Subscription without penalty before the renewal date.
9ter.8 Community deletion or termination by the Organizer
If a community is deleted by the Organizer, if the Organizer's IsoMaps account is terminated, or if their Stripe Connect account is deactivated, active Community Subscriptions are automatically cancelled. Payments already made give no right to refund from IsoMaps; any request must be sent directly to the Organizer.
9ter.9 Organizer obligations
The Organizer undertakes to actually provide subscribers with the benefits or exclusive content promised at the time of subscription, to maintain a level of service consistent with the commitments made, to issue any legally required invoice, and to declare the revenue collected to the competent tax authorities. IsoMaps disclaims all liability regarding the actual fulfillment of these commitments by the Organizer.
9ter.10 Disputes and chargebacks
The terms regarding disputes and payment chargebacks applicable to Community Subscriptions are identical to those set out in Article 9bis.9.

IsoMaps does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of weather data displayed in any way.
21.3 Inaccuracy of cartographic and avalanche data
Maps, routes, altitude profiles, avalanche risk zones, and other geographic data may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information.
