1h30 from the forest roads on the west side (longer if snow...). It is not directly on the GR trail that runs along the ridges; you must descend 400m, roughly below the Reculet, in this terrain feature that breaks the chain. Access is well-marked and frequently used from "le Tiocan". Winter: Caution on the slope between Narderans and La Chaz.
The hut is divided into two parts: one closed and reserved exclusively for local residents, and the other always open as described below: Basic but sufficient. No water nearby. 2 tables, a small stove, sleeping area upstairs. Difficult to heat, quite damp. Limited equipment (to be supplemented): pots, broom/shovel but no saw. Nearby forest with plenty of dead wood in the surrounding thickets. July 2024: benches, a sink (without water), tables, pots, and a stove are available. A candle is provided upstairs for lighting before bed; no beds: bring a sleeping mat and a sleeping bag. No electricity despite the presence of a switch and bulbs. The toilet is in a small shed at the back of the chalet.
