The hut can be reached from the villages of Colle Saint-Michel to the north and Allons to the south, via hiking trails. The hut is located 200 meters from the summit of Puy de Rent, on the GRP of the Vaire valley.

Table and benches outside. 2 inflatable mattresses and 2 folding beds inside. Dry toilets. Wood stove. Form to fill out, not everything was listed during this first visit (March 2023). Following information provided by several people, this hut is likely "privatized" and inaccessible at the moment: Make sure to check with the legitimate owner regarding its accessibility (Town Hall of Thorame-haute).
