The Col du Clapier can be reached from the Caussols plateau either via the GR4 or the Chemin du Clapier in 45 minutes. From the Plateau de la Malle, access takes 45 minutes.
This is a millennia-old borie, a simple shepherd's shelter from ancient times. These interesting and intriguing dry-stone constructions are built without mortar, some dating back over 10,000 years. There is obviously no comfort or equipment, but it provides good shelter against the elements, as the millennia attest.
