At the summit of the Cime de Pelousette, reached from the Camp des Fourches via an excellent trail in 1 h 30 and 600 metres of elevation gain.
This is the highest Séré de Rivières fort in France. It is in excellent condition. Access is not prohibited. It is the largest, highest and best-preserved fort in the area. It can easily accommodate a comfortable bivouac. However, there is no crockery or furniture. The location is magnificent and offers a panoramic view from the Écrins to the Mediterranean.
