2020: Very good condition. Renovated in 2014 (new roof) and 2019 by volunteers from the association "Les Amis Gr'distes, GR10". - 1 large whitewashed room on the ground floor with 1 large table, 2 benches, stools, 1 cupboard with crockery and 6 new metal bunk beds with covers, mattresses and blankets. - 1 other room next to it with 6 old metal bunk beds without mattresses. - Wooden floor on the first floor accessible by a ladder; about 8 places, 6 with mattresses, 1 cupboard to store blankets. - 1 large stove (remember to bring dry wood as there is mostly green wood in the forest below the hut, 15 minutes' walk away). - Water (stream) located 3 minutes' walk from the hut; Micropure tablets nevertheless recommended. Very busy with hikers as it is located in the middle of a stage of the GR10; and starting point for the trail to climb Mont Valier via the beautiful Pas de la Clauère and Col de Peyre Blanc. Renovation of the hut in June 2019: The Cabane d'Aula refurbished in 2 days.
