on the GR20 trail
The main building houses the reception area, the grocery store and the kitchen. The terrace is located right in front. The rear building contains the dormitory, a common room and its equipped kitchen (gas cooker, sink, dishes) along with its own terrace. The bivouac area is located behind these two buildings, in a fairly flat area, with toilets and an outdoor summer kitchen (gas cooker, sink, some dishes). The spring located in the talweg, about a hundred metres from the refuge on the GR20 trail towards the Col de Bavella, is the only source of drinking water for the entire refuge. Downstream from this spring, at the bottom of the same talweg, below the refuge, there is a shower and a washbasin. To supplement this single shower, a shower head has been installed on one of the sinks in the bivouac's outdoor kitchen. No possibility to recharge devices. After dinner, leftovers are placed on the large rock next to the refuge, where wild boars and sometimes a fox come to feed.
