Usually, you reach it from Chapelle-des-Bois by walking north for 7 km along marked and mapped trails: via Nondances-le-Haut, Châlet Neuf, the Orphelins crossroads, among others. Some may climb from Châtelblanc through the Bois Bannal and the Enguenelles. There are many possible variations in the Jura region.
A true "cabin deep in the woods", where my last stay dates back to 1986. This hut is open only from December to the end of March during the ski season; otherwise, it is closed the rest of the time. Sleeping accommodations, meals available (half-board possible). Particularly useful in an area where support points are scarce (except for hotels...) when crossing the region.
