After the TEC, follow the tarmac road that runs through the Ranspach valley and climbs the western slope (Riem) to a flat area. The cabin is clearly visible on the right side of the road as you ascend. Caution: the road is in very poor condition in places.

Water: The Langenrunz stream is located 200m northwest of the cabin, along the forest road. At this point, it is often dry in summer.
