About 45 minutes' walk from Thann. You can park near the tennis court, close to the Floridor restaurant. It is located on the Steinby road, which joins Route Joffre (from Bitschwiller to Masevaux via the Hundsrück Pass) at a place called "Plan Diebolt-Scherrer".
The chalet is open to all. It can accommodate up to twenty people for a picnic. No vehicle access. Operational stove. No sleeping equipment available except on tables, benches or the floor. I am not aware of any nearby water source.
