Good shelter for a stopover between Grand Ballon and Markstein while crossing the Hautes-Vosges. Seen from below, it is located between Geishouse and Saint-Amarin. Beautiful site southwest of Storkenkopf deep in the forest. Shelter difficult to spot for the first time. Halfway between Grand Ballon and Moorfeld.
Chimney available for a fire if needed. Limited warmth due to lack of insulation in mid-winter, it is freezing, especially since the altitude is high for the Vosges range! 03/2023: saws, axe
