The St Sauveur hut is an unstaffed hut located in the Hautes-Alpes, in the commune of Barret-sur-Méouge. It is publicly owned.

Start from the Salérans car park, then at the water intake, take the track that goes uphill. Follow the track (and the "St Sauveur" signs) for 30 minutes, then turn left just before Fond Corombe. Continue for 5 minutes. You will then arrive at the "base camp" of the construction sites. Take the indicated path, which descends to the hut, for 15-20 minutes. Two paths are currently being reopened (possibly) in the future. One starting from Salérans via Notre-Dame-de-Salérans and the "Font Fute" water intake, which leads directly to the hut. The other starts from Barret, following the GRP initially, then a track on the right and finally a small path, which arrives just above St Sauveur. CAUTION: these paths are not yet open and have no signage.
Little is known about this chapel except that processions were held there to call for rain and protect crops. At the start of the project, the building was badly damaged, although some tufa window frames and sections of wall remained. In 2022, the first year of work, there wasn't even an access path... There is still no door... no roof... no floor... But this will change in the future! As of today, after the 8th participatory workcamp, the hut now has its four walls. There is a terrace on the east side, complete with a sofa/bench for evening drinks. A rainwater collection tank is located nearby. The west gable of the wall is starting to look good, the door arch was installed in October 2025, and this time it was the turn of the small window specially designed for "sunset views over the Ventoux". There are also two picnic tables just above. The site is still under construction, with potentially dangerous materials (stones, scaffolding...) present. Please be careful and respectful.
