The Refuge de l'Oriol is a private mountain hut located in Saint-Martin-de-Queyrières, in the Hautes-Alpes. It is run by Lucas Bessy.

At a glance

Access

Either from the village of Sainte-Marguerite, via the Kilomètre Vertical trail (marked KV), for 800 m of elevation gain. Or drive to the village of Sainte-Marguerite (05120), then continue uphill on a track to the Clot du Baudet parking area, at 1600 m altitude. Then walk for one hour to cover the remaining 400 m of elevation gain along the marked track/trail. Alternatively, take a variant of the GR58 Queyras loop from Arvieux, via the Néal lakes, then the Ascension lakes.
