Access

Access is from Les Auberts, the end of the road in the Champolléon valley. Follow the Tour du Vieux Chaillol trail which climbs through the forest on the right bank of the Drac Blanc. The hut is reached after 350m of elevation gain and about 1 hour 15 minutes. It is also possible to follow the track on the left bank of the Drac Blanc (same time but less scenic).

Built in 1979. Guarded from mid-June to mid-September (reservations possible first half of June and second half of September). During the guard period: 60 beds, hot showers, all amenities. Outside the guard period: winter hut accommodating 12 people. -mattresses / blankets -table -stove. Languages spoken: French, English, German, Italian, Spanish.
