Access from La Murette, pass by the cemetery and take the trail at the end of the road. At a junction with an old ruin, stay left, then at another fork, take right. Brambles are gradually covering the path due to recent logging. The trail leads to a pass. The shelter is located on the mound to your left. Caution: the trail is very steep. There is another access route, but it is difficult to describe. Near the cabin is the "trou de la couleuvre", a crevasse plunging about 20 meters deep. Access is dangerous as it is not rock but pebbles embedded in clay that can come loose.
