On the GR trail of the North-South crossing of the high plateaus. -about 3 hours from Col du Coq via Dent de Crolles and Chaos de Bellefont, to the south -less than 2 hours from Aulp du Seuil via Col de Bellefont, to the north. -2 hours from Perquelin passing near Col de la Saulce (but not crossing it, staying on the south side)
Cabin rebuilt in 2014 and now reserved exclusively for the shepherd's use. Completely closed to the public the rest of the time. No shelter available, but a few small tent spots are possible nearby outside the summer grazing period (for a maximum of 2 or 3 tents).
