The Gîte de la Molière is a privately run guarded refuge located on the Plateau de la Molière in the Vercors massif. It is open during the summer season.

The lodge is located on the beautiful Plateau de la Molière. More than 2 hours' walk from Col de la Croix Perrin, or 30 minutes from the orientation table to the north, on the ridge at the end of the road (closed in winter). Public transport access: bus stops at Engins (les Jaux), Col de la Croix Perrin and Autrans. There are several routes from these three points to reach the Plateau de la Molière. Half-board costs €58 (2024 rate). 2 dormitories. The atmosphere is not that of a 'mountain refuge', rather a versatile guesthouse, as can be seen on their website. Outside opening periods: a porch provides shelter from the elements (see photo). It is not intended for sleeping but in an emergency, 2 or 3 people could lie down on the smooth concrete floor of the porch.
