Road access via the D106M forest road, 4 kilometres from the village of Méaudre, passing the Via Vercors. 10 minutes' walk from the Tour des 4 montagnes GR de pays via the Champ des Narces between Villard de Lans and Autrans. Nearby summit known as the Gros Martel.
There is now an 8-bed dormitory with bunk beds. Water point for sponge baths but no shower. Dry toilets outside. Always remember to bring a sleeping bag liner or silk sheet. Half board costs €55, €45 for under-12s. Open from 15 December to 30 March, weekends in May and early June. Then from 15 June to 30 September. Open on weekends in October by reservation only.
