From the Tramjurassienne path (Foncine-le-Bas / Les Planches-en-Montagne) or from the small television relay station in Foncine-le-Haut. Note: the road is restricted to authorized vehicles only. Access to the refuge must always be done without a car.
Large restored solid building divided into 2 parts: - One part is accessible only for rent (currently under renovation) see: https://www.helloasso.com/associations/le-refuge-du-paradis/collectes/reouverture-du-refuge-du-paradis - One part is freely accessible with 2 rooms, 2 beds (no mattresses, no blankets), 1 wood stove in each room. There is water outside (non-potable cistern > prime the pump by pouring 1 glass of water into the pipe). Dry toilets, some dishes... Information must now be requested from the Refuge du Paradis association, the building's owner (refuge.le.paradis@gmail.com) - water in cistern (to be treated!), if unavailable, the first water source is about 40 minutes away - photovoltaic lighting - wood nearby - adequate insulation - No mattresses or blankets, bring your own Occasional lighting in the rented part: This lighting (as well as the fire alarm test when no real danger is present) is not accidental. Do not contact the manager in such cases.
