The Gourdouse shelter is an unguarded cabin located on Mont Lozère in the Lozère department. It is publicly owned and managed by the keeper of the nearby gîte.

Access

Either via Vialas and the GR de pays or the GR68. From Génolhac via the sentier des Bouzèdes. Or from the Mas de la Barque. It is no longer marked as a shelter on the IGN 25000 2739 EST map.

Good to know

Windows, shutters, door, table and ladder are missing. A condemned chimney. Insulation: none. The building is in very poor condition according to reports. The shelter has undergone refurbishment work. It is now locked with a padlock to prevent the vandalism it has suffered in recent years. The code can be obtained from the keeper of the nearby gîte.
