The Cabane du col long d'Ayous d'en bas is an unguarded mountain hut located in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques. It is situated in the commune of Laruns.

- Access is possible via the D934 coming from Pau to Gabas, then the D231 to the Bious Artigue lake and 1/2 hour via the GR10. All this is very close to the Pic du Midi d'Ossau. - For information, a path, small but quite clear and marked with cairns, climbs through the forest to the cabin's clearing, from the southern edge of the clearing; the path starts on the other side of the small stream. It reaches the extreme southern tip of the cabin's clearing, near the small rocky outcrop. It appears on old maps but has disappeared from recent editions. In my opinion, when coming from the Pic d'Ossau area, it is much more practical to reach the cabin this way than to descend to the GR10. The (very) approximate route is marked in blue on the refuges.info map.
Additionally, a fountain was (is?) available about 100 meters north, next to another closed shelter (shepherds).
