A freely managed shelter-refuge set up in the former mill of the priory-hospital of Utziat, by volunteers from the Friends of the Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle path in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, under the aegis of the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs (DRAC). There is a nice table, benches and 4 bunk beds equipped with mattresses and a drinking water point in front of the cabin. It is intended for pilgrims but hikers on the GR may also be sheltered there if necessary when space is available.
