The Thuès-les-Bains care center: Follow the railway track (electrified by the rails, death hazard) westwards until a bridge over a stream (of hot water), following hot water pipes supplying the center. Once past the bridge, cross the stream as quickly as possible to reach the hot water cascade. Face the slope opposite the cascade and climb a significant elevation gain. Once at the top of this steep slope, keep to the left (south) on the trails, eventually reaching a good trail (old road) leading to the abandoned village of Entre-Valls.
There is no refuge and there never has been! Only one house has been renovated by a private individual, and the rest of the village is in ruins. The half-ruined chapel provides basic shelter. Read the comments.
