From the Col des Brilles, take a path that ascends eastward. The buildings are about a hundred meters to the left.
These buildings, used by the military for firing exercises on the Clavéra range, are open and bear no distinctive signs or prohibitions of any kind. While they offer no comfort and are not in any way appealing, they can serve as an emergency shelter in case of trouble. Always check for any scheduled exercises during the week by consulting the numerous signs posted at various access points. The described site consists of two rectangular concrete buildings, completely empty except for some more or less dry mud on the floor: one 'troops' room smelling of urine, one firing room smelling of gunpowder.
