Access via Arc 2000. In winter, ski lifts Arc 2000. Tél du Grand Col or Tél de l'Aiguille Rouge. In summer (access more or less tolerated) via a stony track leading south to the Col de la Chal. Depending on the snow, park as close as possible near Lac Marlou (2400/2500 m, snow possible even in summer). A path climbs eastward up the combe. The first hut is open.
Mattress, table, blankets. No water (nearby glacier), no gas, no stove. At this altitude, open huts are rare. Let's take care of them. Thanks to the team that maintains these huts. For a convivial meal, a lighter pack and less rustic comfort, the huts of Mont Pourri (CAF) and Mont Turia (PNV) are not bad either.
