Access

The most direct/usual access: from the Saint-Guérin dam, 2 hours walk. Go around the lake to the south (dam closed to pedestrians), at the end of the lake take the path on the left towards the Grand Mont. It is a stage of the Tour du Beaufortain. In winter, the hut is accessible by downhill skiing, ski touring or on foot (snowshoes) as it is located in the Arêches-Beaufort ski area.

Good to know

Hut built in 1989, destroyed in April 2016 by a fire. Reopened on December 23, 2017. The hut has 3 bedrooms, a dormitory, a bathroom and two hot showers. Open in summer (mid-June to late September) and winter (from school holidays at the end of the year to Easter holidays). Half-board: €59. Bivouac allowed. Languages spoken: French, English, German, Italian, Spanish.
