Access via the trail from the bend on the Chemin des Balcons du Soleil (30 minutes' walk from the bend to the refuge).
The refuge includes: average insulation (a broken window), crockery, a table, benches, a chair, a bed, a shovel, a saw, a mezzanine with 2 mattresses and access through the window to open the door from the inside. Occupied in autumn by hunters from 2 October to 20 November. Toilets are located outside the refuge, to the left of the entrance.
