On the Via Alpina route (marked S16), very pleasant, clean, breathtaking view. Top-notch bivouac!
- Always open in winter, in summer keys are needed (see dedicated website). During summer, the keys are kept at Caffè Ciarbonet in Borgata Ponte Maira di Acceglio (tel. 0171-99070 or 348-9896706) --> IT IS BETTER TO CHECK BEFORE GOING IF IT IS OPEN OR NOT (email or phone). - Newly built (2011!), very well maintained - Excellent insulation - No water point nearby: fill up with water in Chiappera or Larche depending on your starting point. - Possibility to charge mobile phone via solar panels. - Chairs, table, mattresses, blankets - Broom, shovel - No need for wood, no stove, the cabin is made of wood...
