From the parking lot located just south of the Duron pass (alt. 1000 m) a forest track rises regularly to the south, then zigzags and gradually turns south to reach the alpine pasture where the buildings are located. This track is wide, accessible to tractors and logging equipment, but prohibited to non-residents. Some very steep sections have been concreted and grooved to prevent skidding and falls for loaded vehicles. From the pass, the path is marked by signs or markings, with no difficulty, about 6 km.
Alpine pasture buildings housing cattle between mid-June and late September. The smaller one to the east houses the alpine dairymen and the cheese dairy. A small room open at all times is set up on the ground floor (sign 'bivacco' on the lintel), with two bunk beds, mattresses and blankets, a table with benches and two chairs, a wood chest, a wood stove, a broom, a shovel, fire extinguishers. No cutting tools. Outside, a large covered veranda has two sofas, a large table with 2 benches, and a few chairs. For water: a fountain supplies (in summer) a large trough a few steps away. A small lake (300 m southwest) collects rainwater or runoff, but cows drink there occasionally; water must be treated before use.
