You can approach the Crabun area from various points, knowing that you start from modest altitudes... Mont Crabun (2710 m), not far from the shelters, is quite off-center to offer splendid sunrises and sunsets - at least that is its reputation - which explains why a nearby support point was built for those who would hesitate to do 3000 m of elevation gain in a day. It began with a half-barrel structure, typical in Italy, and given the needs, a wooden structure building was later added; thus the old half-barrel serves as a dining room, while the sleeping quarters are concentrated in the new building. Given the surrounding terrain, don't expect any water, except for snow patches... so you'll also need to carry water.
-correct insulation -table, benches (in the metal structure) -gas stove for cooking, but no heating -blankets are stored in a plastic drum
