The hut is situated 90 m west-northwest of a pass between the hills Gartzin (or Lartxin) to the northwest and Lizarnabarra to the east-southeast, along the track coming from the Ibardin pass to the northwest. At this pass near the hut, five forest tracks meet, including the northeast track arriving from the 369 m pass at the southwest foot of La Rhune.
