In the heart of Lauenen village, a well-preserved pretty village, in the building of the former school. On the route of the red itinerary of the Via Alpina (or on a variant of the Swiss Via Alpina if you want to avoid Gstaad between L'Etivaz and Lenk).
Capacity of 70 beds spread over several dormitories on 3 floors. Sleeping bag required. Shared kitchen on each floor, showers. Very functional and very affordable price for Switzerland: about 21 Swiss francs per person in 2022 (about 21 euros in August 2022). Note that this hostel is often fully booked by groups, but it is not exclusively a group hostel and can be open for a single person. Well located with nice views. Small grocery store in the village, 5 minutes on foot. Languages spoken: French, English, German, Italian, Spanish.
