The Fromatthütte is a guarded mountain hut located in the Bern region, managed by Trachsel Gottfried. It is publicly owned and situated in the municipality of Zweisimmen.

The Fromatthütte is located above Blankenburg (municipality of Zweisimmen). The hut is easily reached after a walk of about half an hour from the parking lot "Tschachtlere". In winter, the hut is also easily accessible by ski touring or snowshoes.
The hut was built in 1970, then expanded and equipped with a solar installation to provide lighting. It has two large dormitories with a total of 27 beds. The use of a sleeping bag liner is recommended. The hut is staffed from late June to early September on weekends, from Saturday 10:00 to Sunday 16:00. To stay overnight, you must notify the guardian by phone or email no later than the Thursday before the weekend. Passing visitors are welcome in all weather conditions. Outside the staffed periods, it is possible to negotiate with the guardian to obtain the keys or request an "extra" ascent. The languages spoken are French, English, German, Italian and Spanish.
