Access in 4 hours from Mürren. Mürren can be reached from Lauterbrünnen (paid parking) by cable car, then a narrow-gauge railway line without rack (the MOB), a 4km line. There is a good pedestrian path (starting in the middle of the village) that sometimes crosses the cable car route and leads in one and a half hours to the Grütschalp cable car arrival point from where you can take the train to Mürren.
A very pleasant alternative is to start directly from the Grütschalp cable car arrival point (turn-off after about 200 m from the path leading to Mürren, which is of little interest). Allow about two hours to reach Almenhubel and another good hour on the steep path (actually a ski slope) that leads to the hut.
