The Cabane des Portes is a guarded mountain hut located on the northeast ridge of the Alpettes, in the Fribourg region. It is managed by José Romanens and owned by the public sector.

Located south of Vaulruz, on the northeast ridge of the Alpettes, at the Portes d'en Haut. From Bulle: Head towards Vuadens and follow the Part Dieu road for 1 km, then turn right towards the Alpettes. Follow the marked route. Allow two hours (part of the journey can be done by car). From Vaulruz: From the forest road, you can reach the junction of the drivable roads 100 m northwest of the Cuva from: - Vaulruz, by leaving the Vuadens-Vaulruz road at the junction near the underpass of the motorway. A narrow drivable road leads to the Cuva; - Bulle, by taking the road on the left bank of the Trême up to around 950 m at the entrance to the Joretta forest. Take the drivable path via the 960 m point and Cierne Bon which leads to the Cuva. From the Cuva, a road climbs through the Devin forest, passing upstream of the Cergny (1140 m). It reaches the edge of the forest at around 1140 m in a bend, near the northwest of the Portes d’en Bas (1146 m). Easy parking. From there, a good path leads to the Portes d’en Bas chalet, then to the Portes d’en Haut.
