Also called "Chalet du régiment", it was built in 1945 by the Swiss army on the initiative of Fribourg officers to provide alpine training for troops. The chalet has always been open to civilians and operates on a principle very similar to that of SAC huts. Prices in CHF, VAT included / Tourist tax extra. For extended stays, the second night is free. It is advisable to book in advance. The chalet has no showers but washbasins on each floor; water temperature depends on the season. It has numerous dormitories with blankets; a sleeping bag liner is recommended. Each dormitory is equipped with power sockets for charging mobile phones and other devices. The chalet is covered by the Swisscom mobile network. Languages spoken: French, English, German, Italian, Spanish.
