In winter, allow one hour on skins or one hour forty-five on snowshoes from the Brand car park or from Valsainte. From Brand: Climb on the side of the red piste. At the communal reservoir, turn right and cross the sledging piste, continue on the trail to the top of the chairlift. Then follow the "Plan des Gouilles" ski lift, at its summit turn right, follow the piste of the "Gîte du commun" ski lift to the summit. There, turn left towards the Gîte d’Allières (restaurant with dormitory). In summer, accessible by car, park 20 minutes from the hut at the Botteys car park in the municipality of Cerniat.
Open every day of the week, the hut closes at 6 pm on Sundays. Closed in April. From September until the opening of the ski station, the hut is closed on Mondays.
