By cable car from Arvigo to Braggio. Braggio – Alp di Fora approx. 1h30. From Sta. Maria approx. 3 hours (via Pian di Renten). From Buffalorahütte approx. 5–6 hours.
The hut is always open and contains: wood stove, gas cooker, Swedish stove, cutlery, running water. 3 dormitories with 4 beds each, 1 with 3 beds. Beds with woolen blankets. Hot shower available when the caretaker is present. Mobile reception: Swisscom, Sunrise, Orange. In winter there is no running water and the wood stove is not available. However, the Swedish stove is always available for melting snow and cooking. If there is no gas left, the wood reserve should be sufficient. Both in summer and winter a small stock of drinks is available, which can be paid directly into the cash box provided. Advance booking is strongly recommended as those who have reserved have priority over others. You can pay for overnight stays using the payment slips available in the hut. Before leaving, remember to turn off the lights and record your stay in the hut logbook. Overnight prices: Adults: 22 CHF. Young people aged 10 to 17: 15 CHF. Children: 10 CHF. Languages spoken: French, English, German, Italian, Spanish.
