On foot from Muriaux, follow the yellow and red markings and the signage for the Crêtes path (45 minutes walk).
The refuge is always open and located on a ridge overlooking an impressive cliff, making it without doubt the most "alpine" refuge in the entire Jura range. Organized around a single room, it is perfectly functional. It was rebuilt in 1996 on the site of an old refuge. A panel traces the construction steps. Water comes from rainwater collected on the roof, so it must be boiled before drinking. The sink is outside, as are the toilets, so no water is available during freezing or drought periods. Access to the toilets is particularly impressive (5 meters on a grid overlooking a twenty-meter cliff). The refuge is equipped with a solar-powered lamp that automatically turns on at nightfall.
