Easy access in 45 minutes from the Jungfrau railway line arrival via a dammed and marked road (in season). Leave the station via the East exit (glacier access) then follow the ascending trail to the East.
Even when following the road, roping up and all glacier safety rules remain recommended. Although the author went alone, hands in pockets, this is not an example to follow.
