The Cabane du Levant is a private mountain hut located in the canton of Vaud. It is situated in the border area of Grand Risoux and Petit Risoux.

Border area Grand Risoux / Petit Risoux. 1 - Some arrive along forest trails running roughly parallel to the border (then head S between Grand Crêt and point 1378), or along the forest path Pré-Gentet / La Grande Tèpe: 250 m before reaching G.-T., turn right to the NE; the chalet is on the flank of a clearing slightly downstream from the path. 2 - Others will climb from Le Lieu via the logging road that bypasses La Frasse and L'Allemagne, to find a "Y" at point 1128 m where you turn left; the rest is as above in 2-. From Le Lieu, allow 1h30.
A pleasant hut with 3 dormitories, well located on the border trail. Like all local section/club huts, this one is collectively managed and guarded, so you must ensure its availability and book in advance. Contact the Tourist Office in Le Lieu.
