Already recorded in the 18th century under the name Chalet-Neuf, this chalet was then at the center of a vast pasture of which only a clearing remains. According to recent reports, running water and electricity have been installed. The roof water collection tank operates with a pump activated by a switch connected to solar electricity. If the forestry staff do not need it, the municipality readily makes it available to hikers, provided they comply with the following conditions: - occupancy is limited to one day - unless in distress, overnight stays are prohibited - if necessary, use must be shared with others - no reservations are accepted - fire may only be lit in the stove, with all usual precautions; any wood used must be supplemented with dead wood found in the surrounding forest - when leaving the refuge, it must be left clean and all waste and empty bottles must be taken away The municipality or state foresters reserve the right to enforce this regulation and take appropriate measures if necessary to prevent any misuse.
