Guarded mountain hut located in Bex, in the canton of Vaud. It is managed by Laurianne Vaudan and owned by the public sector. Guarding takes place from September to early October, then from late December to early September of the following year.

Swiss coordinates: 570930 / 118180. From the motorway, take exit BEX, then head towards Lavey-les-Bains. NB: The postal bus no longer runs between Lavey and Morcles. After the thermal baths, continue on a small road that climbs steeply to the village of Morcles. Parking spaces are scarce, but in the centre of the village there are 2 spaces in front of a fountain. Follow the "Cabane de la Tourche" sign via the Au de Morcles. Follow the trail to the hut. Caution: the path sometimes crosses pastures and the painted markings are hard to see. 1. Morcles - les Martinaux - Le Crêtelet (Z1, 1h30 from les Martinaux by car or 3h from Morcles) 2. Les Plans-sur-Bex or Frenières - Javerne - Croix de Javerne (T2, 1h45 from Javerne by car or 4h from Les Plans-sur-Bex or Frenières)
Fully rebuilt, the hut reopened on 16 July 2011. It will now be guarded from mid-June to mid-October. Small restaurant open from 11h to 16h.
