Access

Ötztal valley: Drive to the village of Vent at 1900m, at the end of the valley (via Sölden). In Vent, parking is mandatory and paid (though reasonably priced). Ascent via a NW path (a chairlift approach up to 2356m is possible). Another path also ascends NW from Rofen, the road terminus after Vent. WARNING: As long as the avalanche risk is present, the slope below the hut is often considered threatened. For avalanche information: Austrian Snow Info.
