From the Menthières ski resort. From December 15 to June 30, be aware of the "wildlife quiet zones" located between Menthières and the Bizot, particularly around Varandon: paths are then closed, and detours for snowshoes/skis are set up. The cabin is located in the Réserve naturelle nationale de la Haute Chaîne du Jura. Special regulations: information at 0450993891 (reserve office switchboard). Various remarks: good insulation, but the large room volume is not easy to heat. Dishes. Table, benches. Tools available (14/02/2017: 2 saws). Very small axe, usable but broken (May 2020). New stove summer 2011. Very clean. Presence of 3 blankets (as of July 2017).
