Via the GR6-Tour des Monges. * From Authon, follow the GR6-Tour des Monges via the Col de la Croix de Veyre. The cabin is just below the pass. * From Barles, climb towards the Col de la Clapouse. Before starting the final ascent, turn left via a PR. It is signposted. * From the Col de la Clapouse: route not recommended as the path on the flank is dangerous.
The open part includes: - a fireplace - chairs - school tables - water flows from the [->1587] just above, and passes nearby. - There are 2 good brooms, 1 small broom, 1 mop, 1 dishcloth, 1 sponge and dish soap, a broken shovel * For firewood: you need to go down a little into the valley * Space in front of the cabin for possible tents (former sheep pen) The cabin has been renovated. Now there are 2 beds in the left room and 8 in the dormitory on the right side. Dry toilets are located at the back and equipment is provided (a stove, a saw and a small axe).
