Simply at the top of the hamlet of Valabres, it can be reached on foot from the Tinée (shorter) or from the village of Isola. Path leading up from the valley road (RM2205) is prohibited due to a municipal order from 2019 concerning rockfall in the sector at the start of the path !!!
It is a small shelter of about 15 square metres made of well-insulated stonework and quite warm. There are no utensils or furniture, but it can be used for shelter. There is water at the village washhouse 50 metres away (treat for safety). It is in excellent condition as it was renovated a few years ago.
