Access

By road: coming from France, from Isola 2000 → climb to the Col de la Lombarde (road M97), then descend via SP 255 to the sanctuary. Coming from Italy: from Cuneo → SS21 to Vinadio (Pratolungo), then SP 255 to the sanctuary. On foot: via the GTM (Grande Traversée du Mercantour) and the Via Alpina.

Good to know

The San Giuseppe refuge (mainly used by hikers) is part of a lodging complex centered around the sanctuary: there is also another hut adjacent to the church and a hotel (San GIOACCHINO, where the reception is also located). Shared showers and toilets.
